100-years history of Kamoi
Kamoi Fly Paper manufacturing was founded in 1923 by Toshiro Kamoi, the first President.
Here we introduce the 100-years history of "Kamoi Kakoshi".
1923
The company was founded in 1923 as "Kamoi Fly Paper Manufacturing" by Toshiro Kamoi.
The product name is "Kamoi’s Fly Catch" and "Sunrise" as a trademark.
1924
We have started exporting to Korea, Manchuria, Taiwan, southern regions, North and South America.
1930
Head office building completed.
Ribbon type Fly Trap has been developed and newly released under the name of Kamoi's Fly Ribbon.
1946
The company was renamed to current name "Kamoi Kakoshi Co., Ltd.".
1961
In the mid-1950s, the popularity of domestic automobiles exploded, and it became a big boom in Japan, which was in a period of high economic growth.
Since the growing demand for automotive relative products, we have started to be selling our first Washi adhesive tape "No.110".
1964
In the mid-1950s, wooden box packaging was the mainstream, but in the 1960s, cardboard packaging rapidly spread, and the status of cardboard was dramatically improved.
Our lineup of adhesive tape that were based on Washi and Kraft paper.
1965
Katashima Factory (currently Head Office Factory) completed.
And this time, established company policy "程 -Hodo- ".
1981
The completion of the Kasumigaseki Building in 1968 marks the beginning of a skyscraper constructions and demand for sealing masking tape increased.
In that time, newly released Washi adhesive tape "No.3303" for sealing in response to rising demands. No.3303 is still now one of the standard models of us.
1988
Established "THAI-KAMO Co., Ltd." in Thailand.
The division of Kamoi's Fly Catch Ribbon, moved to THAI-KAMO Factory.
1991
Yakage Factory completed.
2003
New release "Kabuki", new washi masking tape for automotive industry.
2008
Announcement of "mt" masking tape for stationery and ornaments at the gift show and "mt" for sales started.
Received Good Design Award.
2017
Opened directly managed store "mt lab.".
2023
Kamoi Kakoshi Co., Ltd. celebrated its 100th anniversary.
